Torrential rain of the tropics
lightning webs energizing forests
thunder crackling cheers, greener
still, illuminating flashes freeze wet
grey air in instant fragment frames
birds folded enjoying nested unity
with leaf, limb, waters torrent, wait
to burst into fresh song, swirls of
new air invigorating, lift curtains
slamming doors, within the sound
of infinite beads embracing gravity
rushing waters, the muffled rumbles
move south, intensity diminishes, some
birds take flight, testing currents
the downpour becomes a steady flow
before silence comes as the still voice
listening, we enter a hallowed sphere.
