   SHATTERED

How do I put myself back together
Humpty Dumpty all over again
my shattered psyche, skull of Ibis
sound of leaves hiding that manacled
stallion, so grim an assessment of my
state of being, how to repair forty years
of fracturing: seek the healing power
of water, bury your injury beneath the
fathoms soothing weight of tides, letting
go of all extraneous pieces, shifting them
sorted randomly into the  bottom sands
composed of the shorn debris of time
being patient until your moment comes.
