The day started glorious, sparkling fresh
winds out of cloud forests, bright morning
sun magnified light, then later a drab gray
wondering when, will the end of this world come?
There is much that we do not know: as the thief comes
in the night, or God surprises us in glory
Egyptian, Mayan and Jewish antiquities have it
calculated, maybe when we die, waking on the other side
from this dream of mortality, to realize that
this is not the first ending for us. If I live to be 80
I will be there for sure, so many conditions
like wacko’s priest craft , money changers in a temple
receiving money to insure your safe arrival
calendars, stars, numerology, counting the years
from a beginning that nobody knows
dinosaurs or six days of miraculous creation
when on the seventh, the labor is finished.
