DISPOSITION

Summer snow surprised us
as the night got colder coming
out of the Rockies, a record
that keeps playing to remember
the sun burning it away before
noon the next day. A cold front
of air making its way, fear blowing
in the wind, soon to be dissipated
liberating mind in its journey
of thought, as seasons roll, arriving
ahead of time, to disturb surface
configurations of reason, a hierarchy
of feelings, as we move up or down
the topography of our disposition.
