DAY 21

What more can I say
now that lilacs, at my doorway
no longer sway? Lizards run
within colorful orchid spaces
breezy waves of morning
a bright chorus of birds
sharing their tasks for the day
flit among palms that sway
lay back, enjoy the warm sun
the north is icy dark, cold
snow defines one’s movement
you have won, as death stands
outside the widow’s window.
