STORM

Violent storm, light bulbs white
blink dull brown out, a secondís
flash, a weakening blow rejuvenates
the fall proceeds rebirth, the myth
internalized, energized in lightning bursts
buds of orchids open fast, stems leap
an inch or two, plans of man roll
into balls, wash to gutters, down holes
as we sit on the verge, decision
in our hands, brink of existence
creationís violence plays out
in luminous discharge between opposites
high energy, intense heat charges the air
with new life, out of discordant strife.
