I have a need to ventilate
my thoughts, open my mouth and ears
let the breeze and wind stir about
flush of warm damp air, fresh
sweeping out dust, crust of stubborn opinions
enough of stuff, daunting dogmas
that cause hesitation, restrain, at the verge
slack courage: to restock the shelves
back to basics, roots of words, polish
the chain of novel conceptions, the source
orderly and stored, collated for easy access
to summon up, stir bold pluck, take heart
before the oncoming dark.
