OLD MAN VI
Unweaving, my labor lost, law of age
advancing, tapestry in colored threads
dyed from fruits and berries gathered
in the brush, yarns of wool carded
near the hearth, spun but now undone
before the dull dying glow, hush of ashes
cold draft of deadening time, weakened
to fragile tears, fabric formed, now torn
unraveled, disentangled, old man years.
