Old age abandons past space
time collapses behind you
mental impressions retained
implode, shrink, retreat, contract
into the proverbial ball, disabled
decline into a continual present
glass theater of the aging mind.
The emptiness of remembrance
nostalgia of longing, compressed
matter of experience leaves a void
in passing, the vacuum sucks out
the air, hermetic fusion preserves
the past, to be played millennially.
