Night stealthily descends, embracing
light, shade fades imperceptibly
pink, gilded buff blues wash gray
mauve maroon, as stress loosens its hold
diminution of uneasy worries ebb
liberating life, in backward flow
ocean of relief, releasing will
humble before the unknown
resigned ease, alleviates anxious weight
new moon, troubling thought
obscuring shadows, closing curtains
as darkness is complete, day extinguished.
