Unstable as uneven legs of a table
over the parting of a seam of earth
objects within us, teeter on the edge
a shrinking image of irrelevance
unsteady, as distance grows, stays
inside it, holding form, time’s complexity
devours what there is, to break down
the darkness, collecting threads
to let the moonlight in, over emptiness
the exit, of such means, it seems.
