EFFECT

What impressions hold: unknown events
on some horizon, a warm wind that reverses
direction, sends us out, on yet uncharted seas
tallies dreams into mystery of art, echoes  from
instinct, some prior programed conditioning
yet we listen and act on the questionable advice
to scribble ink and analyze the doing or undoing
of our lives, ephemeral existence, holding
to wisps of thought, phantom shadows, free
from gravity, that float in our mind
hushed innuendo that your attention receives
to tilt the compass, to determine a new course
numbers of longitude and latitude, degrees
to place us in some position that panders relativity
gestures of a mime, as the axis of life inclines
giving access to effects that influence, to later
question why, in swift confluence of curved space time.
