My defeat grants access to unsuspected space
overlooked in my passion for success, the ruin
of my battlements, material for new architecture
broken cement molded, cured in varieties of texture
labor of order forms new vantage on vanquished walls
arches entering new places, houses fall, to found
new structure on rubble, age of trouble, tried
finally turns to dust, swept then re-used, my complaint
laid upon myself, opens the humble door of deliverance
new foundations, to rebuild better than before.
