I am a fraud, living multiple lives
with multiple wives, hypocrite of
Sunday go a preaching; I embrace
ignorance and false science to hold
out positive feelings to desperate
of circumstance, to offer politics
philosophies that promise another life
free from happenstance, when daisy
fields in bloom, under sunshine, come
only once upon a time; I invent in
pharmacies or attach steel to plastic
to structure deceit, form a fitful night
hidden from actual self, then peddle
the pills, miracle drugs, sold for
something without sacrifice or gadgets
of leisure to gullible folks, then enshrine
my gains, in yet more preposterous
illusions, my malfeasance of season
but now I confess, undress for all to see
and resign in wretchedness to my misery.
