Stopping in a stormy night
blustery, dark snow flying
to buy a large bouquet, red
of roses cut, imported from
a far, driven by some reverie
un-leased, to save a part of me
to offer an oblation, tithing
to the tides, throwing them
upon the sea, waves ravishing
their petals and spray of green
opening its ways deep in me.
