 HAVANA FLIGHT

At 34,000 feet I have seen this view
so many times, the clouds spread out
over a blue plane foil of Caribbean
marine, life becomes routine with age
repeating so many times but missing
the message of what I have not learned
improvement folded in minute margins
notes of after thought,  goodbyes  are
abrupt lengthy and sad, different are
beginnings uncertain, tentative, insecure
always crossing another threshold
door frame to another room, chambers
of hope essayed, worn slogans tired
symbols bannered in humid hot then
ocean everywhere but thirst fainting
as the body drains, a rapid movement
of water weight barometric pressure
of the heart, again riding air as an
aeronaut  in love with heights above the
world´s descending religious circles.
