I stand at the gate, humble, my bride
of wisdom before the threshold
as He “suffered without” in a lonely world
having passed through, to return home
crossing the shadow lines, changes of mind
exchanges of psychic energy, our limited access
to certainty, mental shifts of repentance
the sequence of our lives, placement of events
logical incantations from creation and loneliness
into spiritual awareness, rooms before the celestial
portal, breakthroughs, transitions in rites of passage
to find the narrow way, to the keeper of the gate
for He “employeth no servant there”.
