Ultra violet rays pierce clouds
warm through cloth, breeze cools
no burning under overcast
how long will it last before rain
begins to fall, certainty of uncertainty
wave lengths beyond the visible
unseen spectrum range measured
in angstroms, shorter than X-ray
photoelectron energies, atomic core
levels that reveal my bones, midst
shadows of muscle, fat and vital organs
exposed ghost, but here I sit
on a park bench, old man, taking notes
perceptible to the eye, dressed, apparently
solid, warmed by sunlight hidden by sky.
