Children hide and seek, long before they weep
screech in play, dart through the Park
they startle, iguanas take highest perches
parrots whirl, squawk, cackle and chatter
comment on the news, a little boy chases
shade, squirrels dismayed, while captured
by her pony tails, a kinder girl giggles
to the game, afternoon, then sun sets
tomorrow, may be, the same, if no rain.
