STELLULARLY

Someone’s stellularly sun
burning bright overhead
synthesizing elements
hydrogen helium abound
stellar spectroscopy sees
surface anomalies, disorder
in appearance, relative
intensity of line pairs
measured in emissions
absorption following oxygen
burning as temperatures rise
with density, destiny built in
complex photodisintegration
alpha particles that combine
to build heavier nuclei until iron
as the friendly star collapses.
