The effort required to sort and collate
understand minutiae of our lives
sighs, winks, idle comments
simple deeds, accents of breeding
images of imagination that suspend
themselves, or float behind mean
or proper words, explanations
forced, timed or embarrassed
facial expressions, feigned intention
subtle movement of lips, the smile
absent frown, uplifted eyebrow
dumbfounded mask, often define
us, relegate to repugnance or
distinguish, as a bust of elegant folk.
