Out of their private lives
they flowed, exposed
yellow tangentís reflection
arch of memory holding
lengthening hours bright
contrasts, green against
white Saints, cement casts
sword in one hand, word
in the other, metaphor
as happy children run
dance in pantomime
parents sit on benches
all the same, as long ago
stillness of eveningís shade
Sunday vespers beguile
while disco music comes alive
end a week in rhythm and jive.
