Coward under feathered leaves
reeling in cyclone wind confused
branches twirl, transformers pop
sparks soar, define the darkness
eerie unbalanced vertigo falling
pull together in revenge of nature
her impatience, that we repent
bend knees, trees weave violently
what is it that you must do now
to pass through this stormy event
hold on to something more secure
than thorny lemon limbs or thistle
opinions, contrary views rage on
old norms seem to falter, beliefs
blown as bows of colored ribbon
trivially dance as flying snakes
ritual authority decrees change
can we accept doom and tomb
that ignorant man proudly makes?
