Unique to orchids and camels
bulge filled with fibrous material
stores water, moisture nutrients
orchids, herbaceous perennials
need to pass dry spells, season
changes, months without usual
divine attention, adaption found
solution, storage tank, pantry
hoard, gives orchid rhizomes
a pregnant look, not like onions
daffodils or tulips but fat stems
longest living part, it sustains
the orchid through dormancy
coming in peculiar shapes, sizes
each species its own survival look.
