Against a limit, a wall of uneven green
assortment of life, spontaneous seeding
chance of wind or bird, fertile loam
warm light humid fecundity, rich layers
of dense leaves, palm frond foliage
sylvan arboreal leaf spray, enclave
territory of reverie, under blue ceiling
with drifting cumulus, cumbrous random
roving of molecules in search of bonding
absorbing condensation, over mountains
to the west, hot Pacific coast air, surging
up, filling the low pressure vacuum
bulging atmospheric envelope to bursting
bringing rain in the height of evening.
