LOST WORDS

His words lost in a din, tumult
of conversations in a train station
confession of a traveler from
forbidden zones of an interior continent
penetrated, returning this way
by a lonely route, melancholic musings
of disbelief or unable to comprehend
the horror of empty space, gone where
there isnít, the vastness of absence
search of light in darkness, obscure clarity
the majesty of wild back country
the shock of starry heavens
as never seen before or opposites
in experiment of new cultures
chasing elusive absolutes.
His spoken sounds touched
random meanings, deranged ramblings
now bewildered, astray in crossing of crowds.
