HE WORE HIS SHAME

He wore his shame, took the blame
into ignominy, painful consciousness
others would call chagrin, vexed
or humbled, xed by a system, structured
community, organized pharisaic group
of economic status, pride emboldened.
Left to wander, poorly loved, devoted
to solitude, faithful to shadows, inaccessible
misunderstood, his challenge, silenced
complaint, to seek beyond, what does not exist.
