Medieval debate centered the earth
as down, below upper regions
Damascius, as Simplicius reported
in his Corollarium de Loco
focused on motion, relative location
in relation to a whole, three degrees
of freedom, space being different
from position as time differs from motion.
Damascius asked whether something
in movement presupposed something
at rest, Euclid refined it to a point of view.
