A scourge of delusion is unveiled
in opening skies as I wander
in this strange land of empty hearts
and fear as moldering dark orders fall
spreading chaos around, undoing
hegemonies of greed and pride
in stampedes of the hungry, while
pomp fills the highest seats
of chambers and synagogues
black and white canonicals, vestment
of piety in measured steps, stern smiles
outstretched hand in disconnect
the cuffs of their trousers floating
in affable stop and go, as woes
of wrong are shuffled along .
