DISPLACEMENT

We move within, displace our weight
embed the person, remove superfluous
ornaments, open new space to reunite
the past, re-declare longings, confess
love, confront the awkward moment
remind in remembering, resemblances
pass, revolving, repeating our whole
the obvious becoming fixed in series
a steady sounding of the words, verbs
conjugated over and over again to listen
lovingly, “a horse is a horse of course”.
