DIFFERENT VIEW

Holding on tight, fingers clasped
as a latch, coupled train, long tunnel
of dreams through the night
awake, each moves apart, detached
prudence prevails, a purpose to chart
diverse courses anew, reticent reserved
a distant reach and glance
the pivot of the motive
as distance, proposes a different view.
