Death drains, dries liquids
life flows out, vines no longer
burst forth, days and nights
of drifting execution, wither
sap of applications arid are
in ancient times, Oceanus
was understood surrounding
our planet, a great river
holding the globe, weather
patterns, clouds, rain, later
we find the word ocean
in our vocabulary, as man
pollutes and over fishes seas
denudes the land of trees
wonders why there’s draught
distraught, so much death about.
