Colliding points curve
define new boundaries
hold us in, within lines
imaginary coordinates
that our calculus draws.
Mind testing bends
tries to break bounds
contact links, emotion
stalls before intersect
tradition binds turns
arches of stone we saw
at Arles, St. Trophime
cloisters or Poitiers
our visit to St. Helaire.
Years ago I wrote of
Eleanor de Aquitaine
her courts of love, art
troubadourís songs
to mother kings, mend
kingdoms, inspire poets
remember all she teaches
in her vaults of thought
touching pillars lifting
blocks support anew
ever-higher reaches.
