He chronicled over forty years
of thoughts, days and nights
ideas and dreams captured
distilled on paper, black ink
flew across his writing desk
generation of duty completed
complied with Godís call
yet still he labored, as carving
on his tomb stone, marble
remembrances for children
to pass their fingers, feel, touch
the wounds, scars, indentations
that were his life, to improve
a world, such survival sacrifice
endure, as air to breathe fresh
clear water to drink, failures
birthing ever new invention
love propelling supplication.
