If Scotland had a King
it might have been me
descendent of Duncan
murdered by Macbeth
in 1040 A.D., noble trust
betrayed, sovereign reign
my birthright vanquished
long ago, now I wander
mining ore, words to order
from poet’s lore, lonely
as a happy troubadour.
