Was life not more alluring then
before the ruins, brambles
with heaps of crumbling stones
dying humanity, now blossoming
daisies, dual being, the heart that beats
the wind that rises to disturb
a canopy of leaves, contrast of blue
reverberations of greenish light
intensifying shadows, widening
awareness, much is left behind
unredeemable images, modernization
displaces, ruptures rhythms, tears down
abandons, transitions along broken walls
lizard runs, damaging the capacity to feel
yet memory of existence past, exudes
amongst the nettles and ivy.
