Wrestling thoughts onto pages of paper
clerk of consciousness I am, held back
briefly against the movement of time
etching intransigence into lines of memory
symbols artfully scribbled along folds
indelible signs become the memorial crease
dividing spaces, interlinking regions
of my mind in reverie, interminable
weaving following the colored threads
through the warp that has become
my life to finally be hung, shelved or boxed
in the bowels of some library or sung with
the harmonies of stars in a crisp clear night.
